This video shows an example of the use of calming signals. Notice how the owner just keeps talking in a calm voice, not about anything in particular , just a calm constant voice. Also notice how he doesn't recognise her at first (his sense of smell was probably overwhelmed with stress and reduced) and his owner doesn't move at all until he comes to her and his body language changes to indicate he recognises her. Please share with anyone you know who is searching for a lost dog or cat. The more people that understand calming signals and how to use them to catch lost or frightened pets the better the chances of pets being reunited with their families.
